Description:

Refurbishment and adaptation of existing ICU ward to form new Urology Department at Wansbeck Hospital.

Strip out existing mechanical and plumbing services
Design and install ventilation systems in accordance with HTM requirements
Design and installation of medical gas installations to suit user needs.
Modification of hot and cold water services to suit sanitary requirements

Description:

The modifications to the heating system consisted of the removal and reinstatement of 6no. radiant panels to suit the new ceiling layout within the following rooms; 3 bed observation (day care), dirty utility and clean utility.
Existing hot and cold water services modified using Table X copper and solder ring fittings to suit the new outlet layout. This generally consisted of the supply of 4no. wash hand basins throughout the paediatric ward and the sink units within the dirty & clean utilities.
The ventilation installation generally consisted of the removal of the existing primary fresh air distribution ductwork supplying the observation bays within the paediatric ECU. Once removed, the ductwork was modified in phased installation to suit requirements of ECU.

Medical gas installation including bedhead trunking, AVSU panel and pipework modifications.
